Be Thankful in Your Business to Create a Different Outcome

This is Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, so I’d like to ask you…
What are you thankful for in your business?

How often do you take the time to reflect on that?

For some of you, it may be smaller achievements. Others may have bigger achievements.

It doesn’t matter because you are all on your own path and you’re here to experience different things.

Some of you have been in business for decades, while others of you may have started your business a couple of years or even a few months ago. It’s all okay.

Don’t compare yourself and your business with those you view to be your competitors. That’s a recipe for disaster and will keep you stuck in the impostor syndrome round room. You can’t compare your path to what you think is theirs.

So first of all, just stop and FEEL the gratitude. Embody it. Breathe it in. Breathe it out. Visualize it. Feel thankful for it.

If nothing instantly comes to mind to feel thankful for in your business, focus on the incremental progress you’ve made – because there is some! Just think of where you were this time last year, or five or 10 years ago compared to now.

  • Maybe it’s that you were brave and took the step to start your business in the first place, with no guarantee of what the outcome would be.
  • Maybe you sent out your very first newsletter.
  • Maybe you got your very first client.
  • Maybe it’s that you now have a team or one virtual assistant to support you in more rapidly growing your business and getting more done.
  • Maybe you had your first successful launch this year.
  • Maybe you filled your new coaching program or even got a few enrolled into your beta.
  • Maybe you hit your first $10, $50K, $100K or $500K month.

It’s easy to focus only on big achievements, but don’t forget about those small ones.
They ALL move you forward.

It’s all in your energy and perception.

Be grateful for all of those achievements, even small ones, and you’ll keep finding more to be thankful for.

Not just this weekend on Canadian Thanksgiving (or whenever your Thanksgiving is, depending on where you live) – but EVERY DAY.

Being in the habit of practicing gratitude and finding things to be thankful for will allow you to more intuitively focus on what steps you need to take for a successful final quarter of the year and first quarter of 2023.

To your business success,
Lisa
