Although I generally only work long-term (retainer) with Coaches, Consultants and Visionary CEOs, the Strategic Mapping Method™ enables me to offer this as a standalone service to any business in any industry, even if you aren’t in my target market for retainer work, even if you don’t yet have a team, if you aren’t ready for a fractional Director of Operations or Online Business Manager, or if you DO have a DOO/OBM/Project Manager and your business ops run like a well-oiled machine!
"Are these 1:1 sessions with you or is this a group program?"

These are 1:1 sessions with me, completely focused on your business, your struggles, your opportunities, your operations and team, your vision, your goals, your projects, and your success!

"Can you tell me more about each session and what we'll be doing?"

The first 2 sessions, I mostly ask, listen, and gather as much information from you as possible, based on your Mission, Vision, Values, and the 7 Strategic Objectives of your business.

The third session we’ll be reviewing, revising, and purposefully prioritizing based on the Strategic Objective ranking that you’ve chosen, what projects create revenue, what projects will move your business forward, and what you’ve been procrastinating on. Then we will reassess the number of projects per quarter – is it doable for you and/or your team? Is there capacity to start all of the projects on the list, or does something need to be moved?

On the last call, I will present the final deliverable. By now I have all of the data entered and organized, and projects moved into relevant quarters. We review the plan in detail, so you know what and where everything is, we review instructions on how to use the plan, how to update and edit it, where the resources are that I’ve added, as well as my recommendations for next steps, etc.

"Will you sign an NDA?"
Absolutely. I insist a Non-Disclosure Agreement be signed prior to holding our first session.
"How flexible are the dates and times?"

I’ll work with you to find times that work for both of us. I do recommend 24-48 hours between each session.

"How long are the sessions?"

There are generally 3-4 sessions. I allow for up to 2 hours per session. It’s somewhat flexible because it depends on the size and stage of your business, if you have a team, how much activity you have going on in your business, how organized you are, how much time you need to spend thinking about the questions I ask, how many ideas and goals you have, etc. All of that depends on how quickly we move through the process.

If you find you get brain fatigue and overwhelmed by the amount of information we’re covering, we may just call it a day and pick up where we left off in the next session. If we move through one session’s agenda quickly and you want to keep going, we may get a head start on the next.

The sessions are ideally spaced out with 24-48 hours in between because you may need time to review and revise something we’ve covered, you may need time to find some data about your business that we’ll need to address in the next session, and I’ll need time to organize information I’ve gathered from you during the calls and begin entering it into the map template.

"How much time will I need to commit?"

We generally have 3-4 sessions, approximately 2 hours each session (so as not to overwhelm you), depending on how quickly we move through the process and the amount of info that needs to be documented. This is different for every business. There may be some guided homework before or between the sessions for you to collect information and ideas that will help me to be more efficient during our time together and to put as much detail as possible into your strategic plan.

"I have multiple businesses. Can we do one Strategic Mapping™ for all of them?"

Each business requires its own Strategic Mapping™ due to the unique complexities and goals for each business, and the time required to uncover the strategic objectives. Attempting to cover multiple businesses simultaneously will lead to confusion and inefficiency for all involved. Doing so would be a disservice to you and your businesses.

"What if I don't use Trello for project management?"

If you prefer to use another project management platform and have the Strategic Mapping™ set up in there, we can often import the Trello board to your platform via a migrator tool, if your platform allows importing. (It just won’t look as fancy without the images and it may or may not have the color coding, but all of the important information will be there and it will be functional!).

Alternatively, if your platform doesn’t allow importing, you or your project manager can copy and paste from the Trello board I will share with you. We can also assist for an additional fee.

It is common for business owners to use Trello strictly for the Strategic Mapping™ and use another platform with their team for day-t0-day project management.

"How often should I have a Strategic Mapping™ done?"

I recommend a full Strategic Mappingannually to adapt to changes and ensure alignment. A lot can change for your business in a year.

Quarterly check-ins help maintain progress and adjust priorities as needed. These taek much less time to do and can usually be completed in one session.

"Can I hire you to manage or implement projects post-mapping? Can I hire you as a consultant or Director of Operations?"

After completing the Strategic Mapping™ and we have the full picture of your business, we can discuss ongoing support. If it aligns with your needs and my expertise, I’ll propose a plan for next steps or continued collaboration.
